Compact 2000 Filter Ref: VH31
As can be seen the pumped water supply enters the cavity of the filter at low level. With the cavity acting as a vortex the solids/particles drop to the bottom settlement area, where they can be drained off without cleaning all the filter mediums. The pond water rises up through the cavity, and via a series of aperture slots discharges into the main body of the filter, where in a downflow action then passes through the mechanical and biological foam layers & Aquarock biological medium, to then rise vertical up through the central pipe following which in due turn returns the healthy filtered water back to the pond. The vertical stack pipe also acts as an overflow.
